Vehicle Barrier

Vehicle access control to parking areas and site entrances is achieved effectively with automatic barriers. Our barriers range from the short boom, rapid, 3 metre model which lifts/lowers in 3 seconds (usually used in multi-storey car parks), to the long boom, slower, 12 metre heavy industrial barriers (which are more suitable for level crossings and large lorry parks). The most common are the 4 metre fast barrier and the 6 metre Normal barrier both giving heavy duty rating.

The barrier pedestal is zinc sprayed with stove enamel paint finish. The booms are extruded aluminium and range from 2 metres up to 12 metres long depending on the barrier chosen. Articulated booms are available where a height limit is required.

Bottom skirts and signs can be fitted to the boom to make them more prominent and to prevent pedestrians walking underneath. The barriers have heavy-duty motors and gearboxes, which come in single, or three phase versions. The power consumption of all single phase barriers up to six metres long is under 10 Amp.

All our barriers come complete with an electronic control panel to integrate with access control systems and safety devices. In the event of power failure all barriers have a secure manual release mechanism.

Vehicle Gates

Our swing gate drive units come in various sizes and can power domestic gates from 300kg to large industrial gates of up to 6000kg. They all come with integral control panels which can be compatible with access control equipment and all safety devices.

Swing gates may be ornately designed and made to look like the fence line into which they are fitted. All kinds of finishes are available, mesh, bar, palisade or paladin is just a few.

Swing gates are the cost effective gate security. They can be powered discreetly with underground motors for domestic gates or with heavy duty rams for the industrial gates.

These types of gate motors can be either electro mechanical, which are low maintenance, or electro hydraulic which can move heavier gates.

Sliding Gates

Sliding gates are the ultimate gate security, like a moving section of fence, they give high duty rating with high security. They can run on tracks which are laid into a concrete foundation or they can be cantilevered.

These types of gates slide out on rollers and can be of any height above the ground, ideal for crossing railway tracks or a sloping road. Sliding gates may be ornately designed and made to look like swing gates, all kinds of finishes are available, mesh, bar, palisade or paladin are just a few in fills.

Our sliding gate drive units come in various sizes and can power domestic gates from 300kg to large industrial gates of up to 6000kg. They all come with integral control panels which can be compatible with access control equipment and all safety devices.

Some of the safety devices available on our sliding gates are, safety induction loops and photocells, which protects pedestrians and vehicles.

A rubber safety edge is available, this is an anti-crush device that forces the gate to retract if it comes into contact with a person or object. All our sliding gates have a manual override in the event of power failure.
